DIY ALL-PURPOSE CLEANER

Here at Kingdom Kiss, we don't want to just sell you a product. We want to include you in a way of life that is simple, healthy, and affordable. We want you to be as self-sufficient as possible. Not having to run out and buy expensive cleaning products that may not be healthy to inhale or be around. Now if you love your cleaning products(Pine-sol is my weakness) and don't see anything else working for you, keep rolling on, but if you would like a safe alternative to natural cleaning products that are safe for the environment and your pocketbook, read on.

I have been mixing my own cleaning spray for the past year and a half. I still use other cleaning products, such as bleach and disinfectant spray, but no other store-bought cleaner touches my shelves. I made this decision around the same time we stopped eating fast food, give or take a few months. The cleaner is a mix of vinegar, dawn, water, and essential oils. I know, I know..vinegar. Even though it's a little funky, vinegar is my new best friend. I buy it by the jug. We will get into all the amazing benefits of vinegar, and all the ways I use it, in another blog, but let's get to the mix.

I usually mix my cleaner according to the need that I have at the time. If I need more lifting and chemical power(cleaning the oven or spraying down the vinyl on my house), I use more vinegar than anything. If I need more sudsy, soapy power(tubs and toilets, some stains), I use more dawn... You could put equal parts of everything: 100mL of each. It is completely up to you.

Fun Facts:

Vinegar will not only clean surfaces, but deodorizes the air as it evaporates.

Vinegar can be used as a fabric softener in your wash cycle.

The scent of vinegar dissipate, or goes away, when it dries.

I have used all-purpose spray to clean mirrors, siding, latex paint, laundry stains, and I am sure I'm missing something.

You will need:

Opaque(not clear) spray bottle(with measurements)

Vinegar(I like Apple Cider Vinegar best)

Dawn dish soap(or whatever you have)

Essential oil (choose to fit your needs and preference)

My Fave mixes: (orange, lemon, and lemongrass) (peppermint and eucalyptus-go easy on the eucalyptus) or (Peppermint and Lavendar)

Directions: Add 200 mL of vinegar, add 150 mL of Dawn, add up to 15 drops of essential oils, and fill the rest of bottle with water. Add cold water slowly to keep down on suds. Shake well before using each time.
